Another month ends…

The past week has been quite hectic. The month of May is coming to an end and so is my stay in Kampala. I am leaving Kampala on 6th June. The date has been set. On Saturday, 28th May I went to Club Rouge for the Sanyu FM May Mayhem after party and it rocked. We had performances from Keko, Rabadaba, Fidempa, Vampino and some other guys. All in all it was a great party considering that Sanyu FM paid for all my drinks and eats. I met Denzel, the new guy on the show previously hosted by Big Ben.

On Friday evening, I went to Isha’s in Bukoto thinking that we (PiFF) had a meeting but I was wrong. Instead of returning to my humble pad, I went to Afriart Gallery where there was an exhibition by Kaddu Wasswa. He is a fantastic old man who took photographs from the 1950s and 1960s and he was exhibiting his works. He is a great story teller, I am glad to have met him, the few minutes we spent together, I learned a great deal from him. Thank you Mr. Kaddu.

H.E Y.K. Museveni released a cabinet list last week and like I was shocked to find Al Hajj Nasser Ntege Sebagala, the former mayor of Kampala on that list. I have nothing against this man but honestly, Mr. President, really? I do not think I am the only Ugandan with that question.

On Sunday, I went to St. Augustine Chapel at Makerere University for the evening mass. It has been a very long while since I was last at MUK. I am glad I went. It was a great service animated by the Catholic Charismatic Renewal Team.

May has generally been a great a month. I have rested and done a lot of thinking lately; I searched deep within me and found that I still do not know who I am. I have learned to go with life one day at a time and I ask the guidance of the Lord in this.
In the new month of June, a lot is happening. It is a sign that we are halfway through 2011 and the budget for the new financial year will be read. But most significantly, I turn 30. I have met lots of people lately who have assured me that I look 10 years younger than my actual age, isn’t that cool?

I am sorry Petesmama, the Joglos will have to wait for my return to Kampala. I am travelling to look for myself and when I do find myself, I will return. When I return, I better find those pigs already on the grill!

I wish you a peaceful end of May and a lovely month of June. I wish you all that you wish for yourselves. Work hard, have fun and remember to smile. I love your smile.

PS: Dear Reader, if any of my previous posts or even this has particular one has offended you, please accept my sincere apologies. It was not intentionally done.
